After the front blew through, we headed for Bedwell Harbor, which has a luxury resort where we hoped to anchor and dinghy in to check out the facilities (pool and hot tub 👍). Wind and seas were still running kind of high from the last nights storm, especially as we headed SE around the North end of the island.
Found good anchorage here, but winds were still blowing in around the corner with occasional showers. We've come to appreciate our heavy anchoring gear:
We got tired of waiting for the rain showers to end, and put on our rain gear for a trip to the Poets cove marina and Resort. This was a pretty high end place, with all the usual resort amenities plus two pool/hot tub areas, a spa, a small gym, and an expensive price list to match. Sue went to the front desk looking totally waterlogged from our dinghy ride, and the clerk took pity on us and gave us a free two day pass to use the pool/hot tub, and gym. Score!
We spent some quality on-shore time here before heading off to Sydney Spit the next morning for our final overnight in Canadian waters.
